Net-Zero Opt-CCS
The Net-Zero Opt-CCS scenario considers lower costs for CO2 storage and transport (Figure 26). However, because these costs are a relatively small part of the overall cost structure of CCS technologies, the model results are generally not sensitive to this change. The implication is that the availability of CCS from technical, permitting, or regulatory perspectives is a much more significant factor than the infrastructure costs per se.
